London had changed drastically over the years, and everything had now been modernized to fit into globalized society. The demon-like male watched how the humans walked from where he was sitting, thinking at how pitiful they looked, insignificant. There was no point in being around for so many years, to witness how they had evolved until the twenty-first century.
“Nothing has changed, really.” He mumbled, his eyes landing on the beverage in front of him, a tall glass of ice tea, untouched. It was hot that day, and the male had stopped by to the usual coffee shop to simply sit down on one of the outside tables, and stare at the busy people pass by. Too much movement caught his eyes from time to time, finding something interesting every now and then; an accident, a fight, some times nothing at all. London had changed to much, but the people were the same, shallow and greedy kind.
Sebastian no longer wore his trademark suit, for his contract with his Master had finished ages ago; he now wore stylish clothing, trends that normal people would die to get, but for the demon they meant nothing. But he had kept his name, the name his las Master had given him, as a memorial. No other contract was made, for Sebastian had lost interest in doing so; no other soul would compare to the Earl’s. He lifted his gaze to the sky, the little clouds that remained up there shaded the building, a soft cool breeze making its way. Michaelis sighed and began to play with the straw from the glass, he had to get back to work in less than an hour, but he felt no interest in doing so. If something exciting were to happen, it’d be much better than his work, he knew for sure. But alas, he needn’t waste more time, duty was calling.
Lifting himself from his seat, the demon ran a hand through his messy hair and walked out of the shop, walking towards the scramble, then to walk two more blocks, make a left turn and reach a tall building where Sebastian worked.
